What can I say? I'm a stay at home mom of 4...2 girls and 2 boys.....I live in the Canary Islands in Spain. I love to cook, and am mildly obsessed with photographing my creations (or other people's recipes that I've made) in the kitchen. Hey, everybody's got to have a hobby, right? Cooking keeps me from losing my mind a lot of the time....it is the closest thing I have to relaxation in my daily life, so in combination with antidepressant drugs, I am also employing the cooking therapy approach to stress relief. Hey! Kids can wreak havoc on your nerves, no matter how cute and funny and fabulous they are. In all fairness to the children (I don't want you thinking that I think it's their fault I'm mental), I have suffered with depression forever, and while there are ebbs and flows, it's like some sort of shadow that is always lurking around the corner. I deal with it the best way I can. Which, I've found, is through laughter and food. And pictures of food. And funny pictures. So yeah. That's about it. Me. Ok, and so I was "tagged" and need to share 5 fun facts about myself. Hmmm. Here's the challenge: "Once you have been tagged, you have to write a blog with 5 facts about yourself. I have a degree in Art History and American Studies which I am currently utilizing to its utmost potential in my work as a stay at home mom. lmfao 2. I am fluent in Spanish and English, but secretly wish to go back to my days as a Japanese student. I studied Japanese for 2 years and LOVED it. I should have been a language major instead of Art History and American studies. 3. I love Doritoes. No, really LOVE them. They are one of my favorite guilty pleasures. With guacamole, with cheese, with sour cream (shut up!)....side dish, snack. Yep. Love me some Doritoes. lol 4. Movies are my favorite. (that is a semi-quote from a movie, in fact) I can watch movies that I like over and over and over again. And I still cry at the sad parts. Every time. 5. I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy....I noticed that JNM's profile has a quote from one of the songs featured on the show, Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars." How big of a dork am I? lmfao I'm not going to tag anyone....sorry!
