mmmmm all your stuff looks so delicious and professional. did you go to a culinary school?

Oh my gawd...No! Thank you so much! You're not making fun of me, are you? I know I've only just begun (can you hear Karen Carpenter in the backgroud?)...but seriously...do you really think my recipes and pics are pretty? I'm trying to teach myself to take pics...and I would truly appreciate constructive criticism.

Of course I'm not making fun! I'm also trying to figure out the photography thing. Plate presentation is part of it...which you seem to have down pretty well. Lighting is the tricky part it seems. The flash can be too much, but ambient lighting not enough. And obviously a great looking product (which you've also mastered) helps too!
Thank you so much! I've found that the best lighting is natural light...not full sun, but rather morning or afternoon light...cloudy weather seems to be the best, the colors really pop in that setting. I take the majority of the pics next to my kitchen window. Flash more often than not washes out the color. I still have a LOT to learn about my camera...I mostly just use the macro button, and adjust exposure and color/white balance. lol Time to drag out that manual and figure out the rest of features, I guess....hehe
